Repair before replacement when repair is enough.
The goal is not the biggest ticket. The goal is the right next step for the property.
That idea became RID-ICK.
What started as a junk-removal company grew into something much bigger: a company built to help people take back control of a property that feels overwhelming, neglected, damaged or simply too much to deal with alone.
In 2019, Dylan and Brianna Skinner started RID-ICK around a simple problem: people had properties full of things they wanted gone, but the work felt bigger than “just haul it away.”
Cleanouts led to seeing what was underneath. Deferred repairs. Damaged roofs. Bad gutters. Water problems. Things that had been ignored because the owner was overwhelmed, anxious, older, stretched thin—or just needed somebody else to take over for a minute.
That changed the direction of the company.
We would rather explain a smaller repair that solves the problem than force a bigger sale that does not. We would rather show you what we found than ask you to trust a pitch.
The goal is not the biggest ticket. The goal is the right next step for the property.
Photos, condition, scope and finished results should support the recommendation.
Prioritize what matters now, identify what can wait and avoid solving the wrong problem first.
People should not have to become a contractor just because several things are wrong at once.
Sometimes the owner is overwhelmed. Sometimes anxious. Sometimes older and tired of dealing with contractors. Sometimes the property has simply been neglected too long. Sometimes life is already heavy and the house becomes one more thing demanding attention.
RID-ICK exists to make that first step simpler: show us the property, show us the problem and let us help separate what matters now from what can come later.
RID-ICK is a family-built company. Dylan and Brianna started it together, and the long-term vision has always been bigger than creating another home-service brand.
Esmee and Liam are part of the reason the company is being built for the long term. Stiles and Ari are part of another mission that matters just as much: creating the financial strength to eventually fund and build an animal rescue and sanctuary.
The long-term goal is to grow RID-ICK into a large national property-rescue brand: one company capable of assessing the whole property, building the right sequence of work and carrying the project from the first problem through the finished result.
That is the standard whether the job is a cleanout, roof repair, full replacement, gutter system, drainage problem or a property with several issues happening at once.
Show us the property. Tell us what is bothering you. We will help you figure out what comes first.
